Justine Kane has a secret, and if anyone finds out, it will rock her world. She has successfully kept the secret for twenty years, but the sudden reappearance of her former boyfriend, Luke Butler, threatens her secret, her job, and her reputation.

Justine doesn't need a man in her life; she's busy enough with her job, her nosy sister and taking care of her elderly father. But Luke still causes sparks, just like he did twenty years earlier.

Luke Butler's only reason to return to the small town is revenge. Now a retired football star, he wants to prove to everyone they were wrong to reject him when he was a poor kid from the wrong side of the tracks. His anger is still kindled at the people who would cheer him on at a football game and refuse to allow him to associate with their own kids. And Justine is at the top of Luke's hate list.

You Can't Buy Love is a well-written story. You will fall in love with Luke in spite of his anger, and sympathize with Justine for all the tough decisions she's made. The theme verse is clearly woven throughout the story. "A man's heart deviseth his way, but the Lord directeth his steps." (Proverbs 16:9) I really loved this story.
