Title: Wyoming Hoofbeats Author: Susan Page Davis Publisher: Heartsong Presents ISBN: 9781597892752 Genre: Inspirational/Historical/Romance
When brothers Matt and Tom Barkley and Tom’s wife, Amy, visit Chief Red Wolf’s camp to buy a horse, they never expected o find a white woman. Rachel Haynes had been captured by the Sioux and then traded to the Arapaho tribe. Amy is determined to help Rachel, but Tom and Matt convince her that any attempt of rescue the captive white girl would be a mistake.
Red Wolf, Tom’s friend, brings Rachel to them, but her coming only brings more questions. What does God have in store for Rachel, and is Matt part of the plan?
Wyoming Hoofbeats is book three in Susan Page Davis’ Wyoming Brides trilogy, following Protecting Amy, and The Oregon Escort. I always enjoy her historical romances. The characters are compelling and the situations suspenseful. Wyoming Hoofbeats is a well written story about a young woman who is a citizen of two extremely different cultures, not sure where she really belongs. Only God can help her make the right decision.
