Title: A Woman After God’s Own Heart Author: Elizabeth George Publisher: Harvest House ISBN: 0-7369-1883-3 Genre: Inspirational/Women
Any book that has sold over 750,000 copies has to be good, and A Woman After God’s Own Heart is no exception. Today’s woman is under a lot of pressure to do it all, have it all, and to be everything to everyone. It’s easy to lose sight of important things, like our walk with the Lord.
Each Chapter in the book describes a special kind of heart; a praying heart, a heart devoted to God, an obedient heart, and each chapter spoke to me in a special way. Elizabeth George uses scripture, personal stories, and clear, insightful explanations to help the reader draw closer to God. She holds out the hope that even in the midst of our frantic, frenetic, modern lives, it is possible to be a woman after God’s own heart.
