A grim weather forecast creates four wedding-day disasters.

"Move a Mountain" by Lena Nelson Dooley—Christine Dailey’s wedding to Christopher Davis is going almost according to schedule. Then Christopher becomes CEO of his father’s business and has to travel to Hong Kong. Christina is forced to make some decisions on her own. But then a freak Minnesota blizzard leaves Christine stranded on the family farm. Will she make it back in time for the wedding?

"Blown Away" by Pamela Griffin—Marie Barrett has warned her fiancé, Dale Endicott. If she doesn’t show up for this wedding, this is it. After all, he’s missed their wedding twice now. But the morning of the wedding, Dale goes storm chasing with his older brother. Marie is furious and wonders if she shouldn’t call it off herself or wait for Dale to leave her stranded at the alter again. When Dale finds himself stranded in a small Texas town, will he be able to make it back to the church on time?

"Hurricane Allie" by Rachel Hauck—Allie Seton has planned her Cinderella wedding since she was thirteen years old. Marriage to Kyle Landon just adds her prince charming to the picture. But when Kyle travels to New York City on business and a hurricane hits south Florida, Kyle finds himself stranded in the Big Apple. With planes to Atlanta grounded, is it even possible for Kyle to make it home in time?

"Heart’s Refuge" by Lynette Sowell—Krista Schmidt and Luke Hansen are prepared to wed at beautiful Settler Lake in California. Krista faces old fears and Luke battles a past guilt, causing the couple to deal with a rocky past. When lightning strikes and ignites a wildfire, Luke helps fight the blaze. But the day of their wedding the wind changes and puts the couple in danger. Will they even make it to the church at all?

It was fun watching four couples in the final short weeks before their weddings scrambling to get everything done while the weather works against them in Windswept Weddings. I am having a hard time deciding which story I liked the best in this one as they were all cute. I liked reading about the different weather stories too (though I’m not too fond of tornadoes!) In "Blown Away" Dale has a bunch of comic misadventures as he struggles to make it back. $10.95. 347 pages.
