Title: What
A Girl Wants

Genre: Inspirational/Chick-lit
Patent Attorney Ashley Wilkes Stockingdale has a successful career,
stylish clothes, and even a sporty little convertible. So why is she so
discontented? At 31, Ashley takes a step back and considers her life. Her
parents don't understand her or her job, her brothers thinks she's "bus
bait", and the group of naïve engineers she hangs with only sees her as
one of the "guys." But Ashley wants more. She wants the wife and mom
thing, like her best friend Brea.
What she needs is a complete makeover-starting with a mental makeover.
Ashley runs into one problem after another as she tries on this "new
self." She even ends up with dates with three men in one week-something
that would never happen to the "old Ashley." Now that she's captured the
attention of a gorgeous surgeon, why is it her thoughts keep traveling
back to an old reliable engineer? And does she even need a man to be truly
happy and content?
Sassy and humorous, yet touching and profound, What A Girl Wants is
a book that will leave you smiling and nodding in agreement. Any woman
who's navigated the single life can relate to Ashley and her plight as a
career woman trying to find contentment and love. Author Kristin
Billerbeck does a superb job of showing Ashley's mental and emotional
struggle as she examines her life and finds it
lacking. As life moves on, Ashley feels left out. Her best friend is
married and hoping to be a mother soon. The man Ashley has come to love is
clueless about her affections for him. And she needs to find a new
apartment-but how does she do that when her boss keeps sending her to
Taiwan?
Ashley's wry humor and sharp wit grabs the heart of the reader from the
start. Comedy with an attitude, What A Girl Wants is a delightful,
inspiring read.
