Title: Upon A Midnight Clear and Secrets of the Heart Author: Gail Gaymer Martin Publisher: Love Inspired Classics ISBN: 0-373-65269-0 Genre: Inspirational/Romance
Upon A Midnight Clear—When Callie Randolph’s most recent elderly charge dies, Callie has no choice but to return home to her mother. She is looking for another live-in charge, desperate to get away from her criticizing mother. When a position for another elderly patient doesn’t open up, Callie reluctantly agrees to care for a young girl who lost her ability to speak when her mother died. Will this position help Callie find her heart?
Secrets of the Heart —Social worker Kate Davis is determined to keep her distance from men, due to a mistake she made years ago. But when her roommate, Phyllis, invites her brother, Scott, to move in with them, Kate is tempted to develop a relationship with the attractive man. Scott is a resident doctor, and he’s touched by Kate’s caring toward the foster children she works with. But he’s concerned when Kate seems to be drawing closer than she should to a young girl. Will Kate lose her heart?
Upon A Midnight Clear and Secrets of the Heart are both previously released Love Inspired books that were enjoyed by millions. And now we get to enjoy them again in a easy-to-read two-books-in-one. I enjoyed reading both stories. All the characters were realistically developed and I grew to care for each one.
In both stories, the characters lost a child, but were able to move beyond that to find love. I highly recommend this Love Inspired Classics, Upon A Midnight Clear and Secrets of the Heart. This is a holiday book you won’t want to miss. $6.50. 505 pages. |
