Title: Jesus and the 12 Dudes Who Did

Author: Mindy MacDonald

ISBN: 1-590-52382-2

Genre: Biblical/Children/Nonfiction

Told in a fun rhyme sort of rap rhythm, Jesus and the 12 Dudes Who Did tells the story of Jesus and his twelve disciples.  Bright captivating illustrations and a hard plastic 'real' disciple face for each disciple accompanies a few lines of the rhyme on each page.

The books hard-cover has an illustration similar to a group photograph, with Jesus surrounded by the 12 men He called to help spread the Gospel. And, each head/face of each disciple is 3-D. When you read the book, one disciple is featured and his body is topped by the molded head.

This is a fun teaching tool and a welcome addition to current books that are sometimes, even though geared towards children, too heavy or serious.

I am sure some will raise an eyebrow at the title, (but then the eyebrow raising folks wouldn't appreciate the giggles that come from those who hear the story).

The book was an instant hit with four-year-old Caleb, while his younger brother two-year-old Jake took to the other book in the series
9 Fruits Alive, Discover the Fruit of the Spirit.
