Title: True Courage (Uncommon Heroes series - Book Four)

Author: Dee Henderson

Publisher: Multnomah Publishers

ISBN: 1-59052-082-3

Genre: Inspirational/Contemporary/Romantic/Suspense

FBI agent Luke Falcon has just discovered a dead woman. She’s the girlfriend of one of the agency’s most wanted men, a man Luke would give anything to see behind bars. He has reason to believe this man killed the woman, and he’s determined to have the man behind bars before the Labor Day weekend is over.

Fifth-grade teacher Caroline Lane is recovering from being a victim of a stalker. She cares for Luke but fears he will never be any more than a friend. Their relationship seems to be on the fast track to nowhere. But when her sister, his cousin, and their family disappear, Caroline doesn’t know who else to call except Luke.

Luke has never worked a case involving family before and he’s finding it difficult to keep his focus on the job instead of his emotions. In order to solve the case and bring the loved ones home though, he has to be strong. When a ransom delivery fails, bodies start piling up. Will Luke and Caroline’s relationship survive this crisis? Will he find their loved ones in time?

Even though WebJam is book four in the Uncommon Heroes series, it easily stands alone. Unlike the previous three books, WebJam is not based on military members or their family. The characters were well-developed, and the story fast-paced, instantly grabbing my attention and holding it to the end. I felt Luke’s angst at not being available for Caroline as much as he’d like, and felt sorry for Caroline when Luke seemed to put work in front of her time and again.

WebJam will not disappoint Dee Henderson’s fans. I read the book through in a day and will be putting it on my keeper shelf. I was also sent the audio book to review—my husband quickly claimed that as soon as I finished it—to listen to on his long commute to work. He enjoyed all the bells and whistles included on the CDs. I’m looking forward to the next book by Dee Henderson.
