Title: Too Good To Be True Author: Trish Perry Publisher: Harvest House ISBN: 13-978-0-7369-1873-2 Genre: Inspirational/Chicklit
Rennie Young is newly divorced, and definitely not looking for another man, when she passes out in Wal-Mart. She opens her eyes to find the most handsome man she’s ever seen, and he’s holding her hand. Well, actually, he’s checking her pulse, but who can be bothered with details at a time like that. His name is Truman, Tru for short, and he wants to see her again, in a more personal way.
The relationship between Ren and Tru seems made in heaven, or it would be if they didn’t have mother problems—both his and hers. No one ever said the road to true love would be smooth, but theirs seem to have more rocks that most. Of course, Ren’s rather good at putting some of those rocks there herself. Can these two overcome their mother’s objections, and find the courage to live their own lives?
Just like Trish Perry’s The Guy I’m Not Dating, her Too Good To Be True is fun, clever, and truly enjoyable, with a really neat last chapter that had me smiling through tears. A treat from beginning to end.
