Title:: Tidings of Joy Author: Margaret Daley Publisher: Steeple Hill ISBN: 13-978-0-373-81283-7 Genre: Inspirational/Romance
Sent to prison for a crime he didn’t committee, life has been hard for Chance Taylor. It hasn’t been all that easy for Tanya Bolten either. Tom, her husband died in prison, leaving her with a daughter to raise. When she rents her garage apartment to Chance, she just wants to earn some extra money. She never expected him to become a part of her life, but she can’t ignore the feeling that he is hurting inside.
Crystal, Tanya’s daughter, is confined to a wheelchair and a few of the kids from her school have been harassing her. Some of the townspeople don’t want an ex-con like Chance living in their midst. And Chance has a secret that may rip their blossoming friendships to shreds.
Margaret Daley’s Tidings of Joy is the last book of The Ladies of Sweetwater Lake series. A tender love story about three broken people struggling to live a normal life. Bullies come in all ages and sizes, whether it’s kids in school harassing a girl in a wheelchair, or adults determined to drive someone out of town because of his past. Margaret Daley has done a good job of making us aware of the problem. You’ll see the hurt, feel the pain, and be warmed by the love as Chance and Tanya and Crystal learn to take a stand and to rely on God and each other. |
