Title: Three Quarter Time Author: Jean Grant Publisher: MountainView Publishing ISBN: 1-928-60271-1 Genre: Inpirational/Contemporary/Romance
Jenny Muldar wants one thing. She wants a man who loves her more than anything. But she seems destined to fall in love with men who love God more than her.
Jenny was willing to share Paul’s life as a missionary to Viet Nam, even though she didn’t believe in his God, but Paul died. Jenny mourned for him for ten years, then Miklos walks into her life. And Jenny loves Miklos passionately, but he too has made previous vows to God--vows that might take him away from her.
And now, Jim is in her life. Jim was with Paul when he died. Now, Jim is her best friend, and Jenny shares everything with him. But Jim is in love with another: a mysterious someone he confesses but cannot claim.
Before Jenny can find the man who will fulfill her dreams, she must find the God he serves. When danger threatens Jenny finds herself held captive by terrorists in a foreign land. Will she even live to discover who God is?
Three Quarter Time is a beautiful book. I love its message and felt keenly for Jenny as she wrestled with how a loving God can be so cruel. She felt God was out to get her, a feeling many people experience when loved ones are taken away from them. I recommend this book. I’m looking forward to reading more books by Jean Grant. | |
