Title: The Revealing-The Time is Now Author: L.A. Marzulli Publisher: Zondervan ISBN: 0-310-24086-7 Genre: Inspirational/Sci-Fi The Bethlehem Star has reappeared, a mysterious shining light over Jerusalem, and the world is set on edge. Middle Eastern armies gather at Israel’s borders and political maneuvers have unraveled. The Cardinal has died under suspicious circumstances—and the diskette where he names the Antichrist has turned up missing. Former reporter Art MacKenzie and his spiritual mentor, Johanen are plunged in the center of total chaos. They are desperate to find the disk, but a fallen angel and an organization known as the Cadre will kill to get their hands on it first. And a member of a secret government think tank, Brian Fitzpatrick, has stumbled upon a terrifying conspiracy deep in the earth. When nuclear war threatens, newly discovered prophecy and sudden alien and UFO activity has begun. One question remains. Can the human race survive? The Revealing is the third book in The Nephilim series. I have not read the first two books in the series, and in some ways, I think it would have been helpful. On the other hand, the action in the story starts off with a bang and held my interest. Futuristic stories are not my favorite genre because I usually don’t get it, so I was hesitant to begin this book. But once I picked it up I had to keep reading to find out what would happen next. Parts of the book are rather scary, and I wouldn’t want to read the book late at night—alone. But otherwise, The Revealing is a good book and I recommend it. $12.99. 357 pages. | |
