Title: How to Avoid the Ten Mistakes Single Women Make Author: Michelle McKinney Hammond Publisher: Harvest House ISBN: 0-7369-1391-2 Genre: Inspirational/Nonfiction/Christian Living
This is a good book, not just for single women, but for all women. I’ve been married for fifty years, but I learned something from this book, not about how to get a man, but something about me. Mistake No. Seven (Get over yourself) particularly spoke to me. Try these words of wisdom: “If your money belongs to you, you will never have any, but if your money is God’s money He will protect it for you.” Or this: “If Jesus had protected His feelings, none of us would be redeemed.” How about” To be thin skinned and easily offended is ungodly.”
This book is filled with pithy comments that not only help prepare women to find and hold the right man, it contains some very good pointers on how to become the individuals God intends for us to be. I don’t know anyone, male or female, who wouldn’t ‘benefit from reading Michelle McKinney Hammond’s How to Avoid the Ten Mistakes Single Women Make. In fact, I passed my copy along to the youth leader at my church to use in working with young singles. There is a lot of information here they can use. |
