Title: Southern Treasures Genre: Inspirational/Historical/Romance Matt Bower has come to beautiful Key West for two reasons: one is business, the other is because of a recently-discovered secret that may well destroy his world. A man's deathbed confession has rocked Matt's well-ordered life. Now he must find the woman who holds the key. But the last thing Matt expects is to fall in love with the beautiful Peg Martin. When he confesses his love, and she is less than honest with him, Matt's heart is broken. Peg Martin has built a comfortable life in Key West after fleeing her home in Savannah over twenty years ago. Only her brother knows her well-guarded secret. Every year on the anniversary of the tragic event, Peg mourns. She can't seem to accept God's forgiveness and move on. Now Matt Bower has entered her life, and she's scared to death. All these years, Peg has refused to let a man get close to her. But Matt Bower is not just any man, and Peg's feeling for him run deep. Matt pushes to know Peg better, and she fears if he knows the truth, he will hate her. When things suddenly start unraveling, Peg fears her secret is out. Does the handsome man from Savannah already know about her past? Southern Treasures is the third book in Lynn Coleman's historic Key West series. This one is my favorite so far. Peg's wounded spirit cries out for love, but because of her tragic past, she is afraid to open up to anyone. This spiritually inspiring story is a tribute to God's power and ability to heal even the most wounded of hearts. The reader will feel deeply for Matt, knowing that his secret could bring such joy to Peg, and yet it could destroy his own life. The tension in Southern Treasures is riveting. Set aside a time so you can read this in one sitting, because once started, you won't want to put it down. |
