Title: Snitch Author: Rene Gutteridge Publisher: Water Brook ISBN: 978-1-4000-7158-6 Genre: Inspirational/Contemporary/Suspense
Las Vegas Police Department Sergeant Ron Yeager is nearing retirement, but he doesn’t want a boring desk job. So he jumps at the chance when he is offered a position as head of an undercover operation to catch car thieves. He’s allowed to hand pick five officers to work with him, as long as Mack Hazard is one of them.
Mack is a former clown, and all around good girl and the least likely person to be an under cover officer. But Ron isn’t satisfied with only one unlikely officer, he also ends up recruiting his pastor, Kyle, when Kyle shows an unexpected interest in Ron’s work.
Add a maverick and a man with a sleep disorder, and Yeager discovers that all the crazies aren’t on the streets. Will this crew of misfits be able to find who’s the car thieves—especially when the situation turns out to be much bigger and more dangerous than anyone intended?
Snitch is the second book in The Occupational Hazards series. In Ms. Gutteridge’s zany style, this book is sure to keep you in suspense while giving you a full doSe of humor.
I loved all the characters, from Ron, to the maverick Jesse, and the nervous pastor. I hoped that they’d be able to work together to solve the crimes they were set up to do solve.
Make sure you don’t miss Snitch. It easily stands alone, but readers might want to read the first book in the series, Scoop, as it introduces another member of the Hazard family. A fun read. $12.99. 321 pages.
