Title: Season of Secrets Author: Marta Perry Publisher: Steeple Hill ISBN: 0373873964 Genre: Inspirational/Romantic/Suspense
Dinah Westlake’s cousin, Annabel, was murdered ten years ago. Although her husband, Marc, was the main suspect, the police didn’t have enough evidence to convict him. Now, Marc plans to return to Charleston, bringing Courtney, his thirteen year old son to spend Christmas in the house where Annabel died.
Although Dinah loved Annabel, she doesn’t believe Marc is guilty. Aunt Kate, the elderly relative with whom Dinah lives, accepts Marc’s presence, after a hard struggle, and makes it clear to Charleston society that she considers him family. However, as far as the police are concerned, Annabel’s death is still an open case and Marc is high on their list of suspects.
Marta Perry writes great romantic suspense and Season of Secrets is one of her better ones. She knows how to engage the reader’s attention from page one, all the way through the book. If you like romantic suspense, get acquainted with Marta Perry’s writing. She never disappoints. |
