Title: Savannah Comes Undone

Author: Denise Hildreth

Publisher: WestBow Press

ISBN: 0-8499-4456-2

Genre: Inspirational/Chicklit

When Savannah’s mother chains herself to a monument of the ten commandments in front of the courthouse, the whole city comes out to support her cause—or not. Savannah is mortified. Her mother puts herself on the front page of the paper enough without being handcuffed to a monument. And the President is coming to town!

Still, Savannah is convinced that her former beauty queen mother won’t stay out on the town square overnight. After all, that would involve sleeping outside! But her mother’s tenacity surprises Savannah, and she finds herself turning circles, trying to hide from her mother, keep track of her job, win her old boyfriend back, and ignore the curly-haired hottie who’s cubiclel is beside hers at work.  Will Savannah be able to form her own opinion about what she believes before it’s too late?

Savannah Comes Undone is the first book I’ve read by Ms. Hildreth, and I would like to read the beginning of this series, Savannah From Savannah, as some events are referred to in Savannah Comes Undone. Savannah is a believable character, one I’d like to have for a friend, as she was good for many laughs. It was fun watching Savannah mature in this book as she observed the people of the city coming forth to fight for what they believed in—or didn’t believe in.

Pick up Savannah Comes Undone for a fun read that won’t disappoint. I’m looking forward to reading more from this talented author. $14.99. 320 pages.
