Carl Strople is a chaplain in the United States Army and he has been kidnapped by an illegal part of the CIA known as the X group. There Carl is brain-wiped and trained to become an assassin. His memory is wiped out over a ten-month time period of training and torture.

Now Carl has a new set of memories and developing skills and he is a killer for an extraordinary mission. He is sent out to kill the President of the United States.

Through a series of events, Carl meets his mother and begins to recognize some super-natural powers. Will the forces of good win over the forces of evil?

SAINT is the first book I’ve read by Ted Dekker and I loved this book. It is a really good book and will go on my keeper shelf. SAINT is a page-turner from page one and I

couldn’t stop reading all the way to the end. The middle didn’t sag or lose my interest at all.

I liked the characters and wanted to know more about them and see what happened to them. The faith message was expertly woven in. I grew to care about Carl and hoped he would find his way out of the mess he was in. The book’s ending indicates that another book will be following to continue the story. I recommend this book for any lovers of suspense. $23.99 (hardcover). 400 pages.
