Title: The Return Author: Austin Boyd Publisher: NavPress ISBN: 9078157683-946-1 Genre: Inspirational/Sci-Fi
Austin Boyd drops readers into the riveting suspense of The Return as if he is Admiral John Wells in command of a Mars mission. John’s crew comes in contact with a secret colony on Mars with suspicious connections to a growing world-wide cult on earth where John’s friends in Secret Service and FBI uncover a dangerous and destructive plot against mankind in general and John’s family in particular who were thought to be dead.
As the plot thickens, it also unravels, revealing connections between those on earth and on Mars that strain relationships and nerves to the limit. Are John’s wife and children still alive after six years? If so, where are they and will help arrive in time? Admiral Wells is torn between his long repressed grief over his family’s horrific death and the mysterious possibility that his family is still alive and needs his help while struggling to keep his crew working together to get back to earth.
I highly recommend this book because of the action-packed, highly realistic, dangerous roller coaster ride type of drama that glorifies God and keeps the reader riveted to their seats, though sometimes nauseated by the depravity of humanity. Like light colors painted on a black canvas, the light and love of God and His believing children are shown for all His goodness against the backdrop of the Enemy and depraved humanity. The power of the Holy Spirit enables believers to persevere in love, wisdom and integrity to win against the powers of darkness and people who hate them and God’s truth. Way to go Austin Boyd! Write on!
