Title: The Reliance Author: M.L. Tyndall Publisher: Barbour Publishing ISBN: 1-59789-360-9 Genre: Inspirational/Historical/Fiction
Captain Edmund Merrick and his wife, Charlisse, are ashore when pirates attack. As they struggle to reach their ship, The Redemption, Edmund is separated from Charlisse. When he returns to the church where he left her, it is in flames. Edmund believes she is dead. In reality, Charlisse has been captured by their old enemy, Captain Kent Carlton. She is held on his ship with another captive, the lovely Isabel, daughter of Lord and Lady Ashton.
Edmund, filled with bitterness and a desire for revenge, is searching for the pirates who killed his wife, never dreaming she is alive.
The Reliance is the sequel to The Redemption, and is a riveting tale of pirates and danger on the high seas. M.L. Tyndale has done a lot of research and her historical details are authentic and intriguing. Her characters are strong, full of life, and willing to fight for what they want. There is a clear message of grace and redemption. If you like to read romance and valor, deceit and desperation, you’ll want M.L. Tyndall’s The Relilance. |
