Title: Prints Charming Author: Rebeca Seitz Publisher: Thomas Nelson March 2007 ISBN: 978-1-59554-271-7 Genre: Inspirational/Women/Fiction Jane Sanburg married her life-long love,
despite of her best friend’s warnings that Bill was cheating. Jane couldn’t
believe Bill would do such a thing. Passion was not a word she’d use to describe
solid, dependable Bill. But within a short time, she received verification that
Bill was seeing other women… Now, a year after her divorce, Jane has
reconnected with her girlfriends, started a scrapbooking business, and has met a
male neighbor who accuses her of being dangerous to men and cats—after she opens
her car door, slamming it into his chest, and her dog trees his cat.
When Jane’s ex reenters the picture,
trying to woo her back, Jane has to decide whether her future resides in the
past, or in the uncertainty of starting anew. Prints Charming is Ms. Seitz’s debut novel, and she has managed to take four different women (Jane’s is the main
story, but each of her friends have subplots in this book) and weave them
together for an interesting read. I am anxious to read the second novel in the
Sisters Ink series. Each of them are focused on scrapbooking and the end
of the book includes some sample layouts and instructions for scrapbooking.
I’ve always been fascinated by the beautiful work done in scrapbooks, but have
never attempted it, and it was interesting to read about how it was done, and
all the different experiences the women in this book has. Discussion questions
are also included at the end of the book. $14.99. 312 pages.
