It has several ideas for how to jump-start your prayer life, along with a brief devotional to help your relationship with God. The book starts out with a guide for how to accept Christ as your Savior, if you haven’t.
The author says that you can read one idea for each day of the week, read the book in little bits, or open the book up on an as-needed basis and put into practice the idea you come upon that day.
Each chapter contains:
--a brief story related to the theme of the chapter --the first prayer starter, which is a scriptural prayer --other simple and practical prayer starters --a Scripture to meditate on and memorize --a short poem, prayer, or song that speaks of prayer
There are also some blank pages included at the rear of the book where you can record your thoughts.
Prayer Starters For Busy Moms is the ideal book for new moms and experienced moms with a lot of children. It has beautiful, appealing pictures included at the beginning of each chapter which will soothe the spirit even for the most harried mom.
I loved reading through this devotional and putting into practice the things I learned. I would have liked it better if the blank pages were included after each chapter, instead of the end of the book, but that is the only real complaint I have about this book.
