Craig Watson knows the moment he lays eyes on Ivy Leander that she is the woman he wants to marry. There's just one problem-Ivy won't give him the time of day. The prim and proper lady from Boston snubs her nose at him and everyone else in Leaning Tree. Still, Craig believes there is more to Ivy than just her pretty looks and fancy ways, and he is determined to test his theory.
Ivy is stunned by how backwards the small town her family just moved to is compared to Boston. And nobody likes her except for the dirty blacksmith. But Craig always has a teasing smile whenever they meet, and in spite of her determination to ignore the handsome man, she finds her heart thawing. Can Craig help Ivy discover the pleasures of small-town life? Or will she flee Nebraska to live with her Boston grandmother?
