Title: Portal (TimeSlip Trilogy) Author: Brian Reaves Publisher: iUniverse ISBN: 0-595-28841-3 Genre: Inspirational/Science/Fiction
If you were given the chance to go back anywhere in time to change your past, would you? And what if those changes would have an impact on lives other than your own?
For the past 15 years scientist, Joseph Turner has obsessed with finding a means to go back in time to undo a mistake that cost the life of the girl he loved. Now that he and best friend, Tim Jarrell have created the world’s first working time machine, it's only a matter of days before Joseph fulfills his mission.
During one of the trial runs, Joseph collides with an evil reflection of himself and returns to the present as something he never thought he would become—a murderer. Filled with rage and hate, Joseph vows to kill anyone who dares stop him from saving the love of his life.
Tim has watched Joseph’s agony since high school and suspects his friend’s reasons for the creation of the time machine. But Tim knows that Joseph’s needs won’t be met by anything but a close encounter with Christ.
After Joseph's quest turns violent, he commandeers the time machine and steps into the portal that will take him back to high school. As Tim chases his best friend through the years, he faces the biggest battle of his life. Will he be able to stop Joseph from changing history or will both of them die?
Author Brian Reaves has created a well-written "edge of your seat" sci-fi thriller woven with convincing technical data. I am eager to read the rest of the TimeSlip Trilogy. | |
