Caroline Spencer has agreed to be a chaperone on her daughter Annie’s class trip to Mexico. Annie and her best friend Karen, insist on sitting together, leaving their parents to fend for themselves. Unfortunately Caroline is afraid of flying. She gets a major case of the hiccups. You can hear her eruptions all over the plane. While trying to drink a cup of water, while holding a STICK in her mouth, she manages to spill most of it on herself and she’s seated beside Blaine Madison, Karen’s father, a handsome man who looks like Harrison Ford. S first impressions go, Caroline, wet and shivering, is batting zero. She’s sure Blaine sees her as the Mother of Mayhem.
However, because of their daughters, Caroline and Blaine are thrown constantly together. Mexico and moonlight madness work their spell, but just as things are going well for Blaine and Caroline, their daughters get caught up in a smuggling ring.
Linda Windsor is known for her humor, or her “Histericals,” (contemporary romantic comedy with a touch of suspense. Her vivid description of Mexico will have the reader longing to buy a ticket and head south of the border.
