Genre: Inspirational/Mystery/Suspense

Ivy Malone is still on the run, hiding from some thugs that want revenge. She rents a motor home and heads across the country. But the bad guys are on her tail as she travels across Georgia and into Tennessee. Finally, she loses them, but just to be on the safe side, she keeps going across Arkansas and into Oklahoma.

In a small town of Oklahoma, Ivy decides to take a job. Her social security checks only stretch so far with the high price of gas. But when Ivy goes to check on a potential job, she discovers two very dead bodies!

Warned not to leave town, Ivy determines to solve this crime. Even if the police are quick to write it off as a suicide, something doesn’t seem quite right. And why is there a bullet hole in an already dead deer head?

On The Run is the third book in the Ivy Malone series. I love Ivy and am a devoted reader of all the books in this series. I am anxiously waiting for the fourth book, Stranded, due to be released this fall. Ivy is a loveable little old lady guaranteed to make you laugh out loud.

The faith message is expertly woven in and the characterization is excellent. Ivy could be anybody’s grandmother, loveable, spunky, and curious. She is also a master at finding dead bodies and getting into trouble. I highly recommend On The Run. Readers will want to read the first two books in the series before On The Run as the events in this book are a continuation. 317 pages. $12.99.
