Have you seen my Juanita?

Hap Bowman has been searching for Juanita since he met the girl of his dreams when they were twelve years old, and he determines that this will be the summer he finds her. So he and his rodeo partner chase down every Juanita from Wyoming to the Mexican border.

Laramie Majors didn’t know what he was getting into when he was told to be Hap Bowman’s rodeo partner. He certainly didn’t expect a toilet lid to come flying out the window, barely missing him, or to be saddled with a baby when the mother takes off. And he doesn’t expect trouble to follow him and Hap from destination to destination.

While the search may or may not lead to Hap’s Juanita, it certainly leads to more adventures than a couple cowboys bargained for.

One Step Over the Border is the most fun western I’ve ever read. It is laugh out loud funny. I loved Hap and Laramie and Hap’s Juanita story is touching. Every woman they meet wants to be Hap’s Juanita.

Laramie and Hap attract trouble, and they can’t keep from getting involved. A bar room fight, a loose bull, a bull fight, bull riding, finding an illegal marijuana field—this book has it all.

If you are looking for a fun western, a touch of romance, and a lot of laughs, you will want to pick up One Step Over the Border. And if you see Juanita, write to Hap Bowman at hapbowman@yahoo.com. $12.99. 328 pages
