Title: Obsessed Author Ted Dekker Publisher: Westbow ISBN: 0-8499-4373-6 Genre: Inspirational/Suspense
Obsess: to haunt or excessively preoccupy the mind.
Caution, reading this book becomes an obsession. Ted Dekker has spun a wonderfully crafted tale of two men battling each other for a treasure. Only one will win. Only one has the right to win: the one with the greatest obsession.
Stephen Friedman is a young real estate agent who mysteriously becomes connected to a dead woman and her past. Reeling from his discovery, Stephen desires the treasure she has obviously left for him inside her home. However, her home has been sold, and the new owner seeks the same treasure. Stephen throws himself into the battle to gain his legacy and comes to startling revelations about what people value. God grabs his attention and won’t let go. The reader will grab the pages of this book and not let go.
Dekker writes books which capture me and cause reading marathons. His cliff-hanging chapter-ends in this book caused a frenzy. The deeper you get into the story, the more obsessed you become with discovering the outcome for your characters. I thoroughly enjoyed this manic treasure hunt interwoven with heart-rending Holocaust stories.
