Title: The Novelist Author: Angela Hunt Publisher: WestBow ISBN: 0-8499-4483-X Genre: Inspirational/Women/Fiction Jordan Kerrigan, a successful writer, is asked to teach a local college class, “An Introduction to Novel Writing.” A student proposes she write something outside the norm—outside her genre—something personal. Writing as Jordan Casey, she’s built a successful career with super-hero Rex Tower. Will her experiment in probing deep within provide a well crafted book? Or does it open wounds deep within? As her plot begins to come together, her family life starts to unravel. She and her husband fight to save their college age son Zach who is on a one-way street to destruction. As they struggle to help him, Jordan’s book aligns itself with him and becomes an allegory. A cry to save her troubled son from death. Angela Hunt’s skill in weaving two stories within one book is amazing. Man’s search for meaning and quest for God makes The Novelist an unusual read. It should rate on your must read list. | |
