Andy Washburn isn’t looking forward to the same old, boring family vacation to Dore Lake. But just when he thinks he’s doomed for weeks of fishing, his brainiac cousin C.J. shows up with a whole collection of wireless gizmos and a plan to make this trip one to remember.

The boys convince their parents to let them and their nine-year-old sisters explore the campgrounds and surrounding forest. During one of their expeditions the cousins discover a band of poachers hiding in an old shack nearby and events take an unexpected twist. The boys are determined
to track down this band of animal thieves. The girls decide they want nothing to do with the boys’ plans and stay at camp.

Worried that their parents would confine them to camp, Andy and C.J. order
their sisters to keep quiet about what they are doing. Soon, though, it becomes clear that the poachers are on to them. Will Andy and CJ be able to put an end to the crooks’ plans and live to tell the tale?

Max Elliot Anderson most definitely is one of my new favorite authors, and
I can’t wait for his next installment. I strongly recommend this book to every action-loving tweener!
