But her first night in town she meets Alec MacIntyre. Will Dorrie be able to move past her crush on Liam to fall in love with Alec? New York is a collection of four contemporary romance novels. It was passed on to me to review because the person who had it couldn’t get into the stories. Usually, these collections have three good stories and one not-so-good story, (but that has changed recently) so I was willing to give this collection a try. I think the best story in the collection is A Touching Performance. I liked Nick and Claire and thought that was the best written story. The others had major point of view problems, making a jarring read. I can honestly say as a whole, this is the worst novella collection I’ve had the misfortune of reading. If you are looking for a good book to read this summer, you might want to look further than New York. $9.95. 458 pages. |
