Title: Mountain Cabin Mystery Author: Max Elliot Anderson Publisher: Tweener Press ISBN: 0-9729256-3-5 Genre: Inspirational/Juvenile Fiction
Twelve-year old Scott Holcomb is looking forward to this summer. He and his friends, Al and Ben, were just accepted to go on a backpacking trip in the Rocky Mountains. But when the boys get separated from the troop and nearly become breakfast for a bear, things get a little hairy.
In their terror, the boys forget everything they ever learned about camping survival. And when the boys stumble upon a group of terrorists, and Ben is captured, Scott and Al must face their fears to save their friend.
The minute I started reading this book, I couldn’t put it down until the very last page. I felt as if I was right there, running from bears, crossing rickety old suspension bridges, and hiding from a band of desperate criminals. I would recommend Mountain Cabin Mystery to any kid or kid-at-heart who loves adventure. | |
