Four friends form a pact that they will be married by their 28th birthday…

In “Christmas Confusion” by Lena Nelson Dooley, Mayor Lori Compton thinks she’s in love with her pastor. But when he leaves town, she’s unsure she knows what love is. She concentrates her efforts on increasing tourism in town, and ignoring the new minister, Russell Brown. Russell has plenty of ideas to increase tourism, but the trick is to get the pretty mayor to talk to him. She refuses him admittance when he goes to her office. How can he get near enough to her to allow his assistance and offer his heart?

In “Return to Mistletoe” by Debby Mayne, Deanna Moss believes that Frank is that man she’ll marry, but there’s no spark. When Anthony Carson comes back to town, Deanna’s old flame burst to life, but she’s afraid that Anthony will leave town again. How will Anthony convince Deanna he’s there to stay?

In “Under the Mistletoe” by Lisa Harris, Madison Graham loves her quaint town and her year round Christmas shop, but she’s determined to buy her product in New York City. Josh Dunkin has loved Madison forever, but she seems enamored of the more sophisticated Albert Tanner. Is Madison so blinded by city lights she’ll never see the flame burning at home?

In “All I Want for Christmas is . . . You” by Kim Vogel Sawyer, Kathy Morgan has left Mistletoe a long time ago. Now she’s engaged to her business-partner-boyfriend. Deciding to visit her three former best friends and take a walk down memory lane, Kathy returns to Mistletoe. But she doesn’t expect the local postman Erik Hoffman to deliver a message that Kathy needs the Lord. Is it too late for Kathy to avoid a life-impacting mistake?

Montana Mistletoe is a delicious collection of four novellas set in the Big Sky State. I enjoyed reading all the stories, tied together by the heroines all being college roommates and best friends. I don’t really have a favorite story in this collection, but if I had to choose the one I liked the best it would be “Under the Mistletoe.”

I love reading Christmas stories, and this one is truly delightful. The stories are not over-long, so they don’t take long to read. And they are sure to heighten your enjoyment of the holiday season. Pick up your copy today. $10.95. 344 pages.
