Title: The Love Song Authors: Anita Higman and Janice A. Thompson Publisher: Heartsong Presents ISBN: 978-1-59789-886-7 Genre: Inspirational/Contemporary
/Romance Clair O’Neal would describe herself as
clumsy. Invisible. Ugly. She feels uncomfortable in a crowd and is painfully
shy. When she promises her boss she’ll represent the bookstore at a major event,
Clair is completely out of her element. Image coach Glenn Yves urges Clair to
join in the fun, and promises to help her make something of herself. Clair isn’t
quite sure what to make of Glenn, and further embarrasses herself at the party
after he stops her from running out. Hudson Mandel teaches guitar and he’s
just as shy and clumsy as Clair. However, when she embarrasses herself, he is
quick to step up and offer his help. Both Hudson and Glenn are attracted to
Clair, but can Clair trust either of them? How can she possibly choose between
them? The Love Song is another winner by this dynamic duo. I looked for the exact publishing date, but couldn’t find it
anywhere online, but the copy right day is in 2007. I enjoyed the story, and
felt sorry for Clair. At times I was a bit confused and wanted know exactly what
happened to cause this event or that, but if I was patient and read on, it was
explained later. If you enjoy reading Heartsong Presents,
you won’t want to miss The Love Song. It is just as good as it can be, and Clair will be sure to tug on your heartstrings. $4.95. 170 pages.
