As a young apprentice, Shadoe un Hollo Tors has the misfortune to witness King Arthur killed in battle and to hold dying Guenevere in his arms. His father Merlin is believed dead. When his evil cousin, Mordred, takes Shadoe to his castle Belizar and leaves him to die at Hell’s Gate, an angel frees him because God has a purpose and future for him. But Shadoe has lost too many he loves and turns from his relationship with God.

While the years pass, a young maiden hangs on Merlin’s every word as he mentors her on the isle of Wind’s Haven where the splendor of Camelot is long since lost.  Merlin counsels Emerald Rose Rayne to be patient with her knight in shining armor when he comes. When Shadoe returns to Wind’s Haven to fulfill promises he made to his dying father, he meets a young warrior who becomes a thorn in his side. As providence would have it, she is also Author’s daughter and heir to Camelot’s throne, the one he has promised to protect.

Shadoe must turn to God once again and unite with Rayn to overcome the evil forces that threaten to destroy a renewed Camelot. In Legend of the Emerald Rose, Linda Wichman skillfully blends Arthurian legend with Hebraic heritage to create a Christian fantasy like no other.
