Title: One Incredible Dog! Lady Author: Chris Williams Publisher: Moo Press, Inc. ISBN: 0-972-48533-3 Genre: Children/Nonfiction
Did you know that dogs go to work? Now, they may not be a checker at a grocery store or a lawyer in a huge courtroom, but dogs can be a big help. One type of working dog is called a therapy dog. And this book, which is based on a true story, is about a therapy dog named Lady.
Lady and her owner, Kathy, visit people in nursing homes and in hospitals. Every day she brings happiness into the lives of many people. One man who had a hip replacement surgery even takes short walks with Lady. Lady loves her job. So, whether it's doing tricks, chasing balls, or just snuggling up to a patient, Lady is One Incredible Dog!
This book is well-written and I really liked the pictures. Beginning readers will enjoy this book, and it makes a wonderful bedtime story for children ages 4-8. | |
