Angela Warren is running for her life. Forced into prostitution as a child, Angela is desperately trying to escape the pimp who bought her from her stepfather. Her frantic flight takes her into a church and straight into the arms of the Lord.

Six years later, Angela has left her brutal past life far behind and made a new home with a close circle of friends. She throws her energies into church activities and visiting seniors in a nursing home. She loves God and her new life and is so grateful that He rescued her.

But when the new pastor arrives at her church, Angela feels her new life threatened by Hosea Stevens-the very man who won her to God, all those years ago. If word gets out that she's an ex-prostitute, nobody will want to associate with her.

Though she tries to avoid Pastor Hosea, they keep ending up together. Things escalate when Angela realizes she is losing her heart to the kind, handsome man. But a pastor could never love someone with a past like hers. If he did, it could ruin his ministry. What should she do? If she runs away, she'll lose everything she's worked so hard for, but if she stays, she'll destroy the man she loves.

Hosea's Bride is a heart-tugging contemporary version of the biblical story of Hosea. My heart ached for Angela, who even though she'd become a Christian, still struggled with guilt over her past life. She's a great character-full of emotion and very realistic. Hosea is a hero to love. Ever patient, gallant, and caring, even when Angela snubs him because she doesn't think she's good enough for him. Hosea's steadfast faith in the midst of trying circumstances is sure to encourage those going through their own trials.

Many readers will be able to relate to Angela's struggle with past sins. The faith message in Hosea's Bride is inspiring and will help people to understand that once God forgives sin, it's gone. This story moves along quickly and has a great ending. Dorothy Clark is fairly new to the fiction field, but you can expect to see more coming from this talented author.
