Angela Warren was forced into prostitution by her mother and step-father and later sold to their supplier, Tony. Tony threatened to kill Angela if she ever ran away, but desperate to escape the horrible life she was forced to live, Angela ran into a church one dark, terrifying night. Even though she wasn’t exactly dressed for church, she was made welcome, and a visiting preacher led her to the Lord and helped her make a new start.

Six years later, Angela has moved to Harmony, Colorado. She has a new identity, new friends, and serves God in church. But when a new pastor is called to the church, Angela is horrified to discover he is Hosea Stevens—the very preacher who led her to the Lord years ago. Angela tries to avoid him, hoping he won’t remember her. She has kept her past a secret from everyone, even her best friend.

But Hosea seems determined to get to know Angela better. How can Angela continue to keep him at arm’s length when she wants him to draw near? And what about her past?

I wanted to read Hosea's Bride ever since I saw another review on it and was glad when the opportunity arose for me to critique it. I was not disappointed. Hosea's Bride is probably one of the best Love Inspired books I’ve read so far. The characters are well-developed, there is great tension, and the plot keeps the reader turning pages. I couldn’t put Hosea's Bride down.

The only thing that disappointed me about Hosea's Bride is that I didn’t feel that we spent enough time in Hosea’s point of view. The reader was able to fall in love with him, but it would have been nice to spend an equal amount of time with both Angela and Hosea.

Otherwise, I highly recommend Hosea's Bride. As Dorothy Clark’s debut novel, I look forward to reading many more books by this author. Pick up Hosea's Bride, for a fast, refreshing, fabulous read.
