ISBN: 0-7642-2936-2

Genre: Inspirational/Romance

Liz Davis is struggling to hold her carefully constructed world together, but her father’s death has shattered her more than she cares to let on. She is irritated with her fiancé, Jeff Scott, when his brother calls from California and Jeff takes off to help him out instead of staying to help her balance work and wedding plans. Determined to at least make a show of being supportive, Liz goes to California herself, but things backfire. Now she and Jeff are at odds and the wedding might not even happen.

Mary Davis, Liz’s widowed mother, is happily settled in Paris, with not one, but two men wooing her. Mary is having a hard time deciding between an old flame and a newer one. She hesitates to give Liz advice about her life, but surprisingly, Liz is asking.

When Mary is injured, Liz drops everything to rush to her side. Will the answer to the rifts in her life be found in the fabled hills of Tuscany?

A Hilltop In Tuscany is the sequel to A Garden in Paris, and it is just as wonderful. It was great becoming more acquainted with Mary. As with A Garden in Paris I wasn’t horribly impressed with Liz at first, but she grew on me and I started to care about her choices and decisions.

I thoroughly enjoyed A Hilltop In Tuscany. The characters are well-developed and the faith message is expertly woven in. I recommend A Hilltop In Tuscany for a well-written, page turner. I could almost feel as though I were in the story. I can’t wait to read more by this talented author. $12.99. 301 pages.
