Andrea Hampton’s sister was injured in a hit and run accident. She’s hurrying to the hospital when she narrowly avoids a collision with an Amish buggy. Andrea swerves to miss the buggy and slams her car into the ditch. Calvin Burke helps her out of the wrecked car and takes her to the hospital to check on her sister, Rachel.
At first Andrea is grateful for his help, but then she learns Cal is her grandmother’s tenant. Andrea, used to taking matters into her own hands, doesn’t trust Cal Burke, mainly because she doesn’t ‘know anything about him. Her grandmother and Rachel are determined to turn the family home into a bed and breakfast against Andrea’s advice, and not everyone in town wants a new business that will draw in the tourists. Andrea feels like she’s losing control. Then strange things begin to happen, some of them dangerous. In a world suddenly gone wrong, Andrea has to learn who she can trust.
Marta Perry’s Hide in Plain Sight is a suspenseful tale of romance and intrigue with a strong faith message. Andrea learns that things aren’t always the way they seem, and sometimes we can trust the wrong people. Fans of Marta Perry will enjoy this one.
