Readers will enjoy Terry’s story and seeing how other members of her family are faring. Hearts Afire is loaded with conflict as Terry and Jacob try to move past the tragic event that changed them both. It’s hard to imagine romance could blossom between these two, but it is delightful to watch it unfold. Marta Perry’s characters come alive on the page, making you care for them and keeping you turning the pages. Hearts Afire is a heart-warming story that will hold your interest and leave you smiling at the end. (256 pages, $4.99)
