Title: Happily Ever After Author: Susan May Warren Publisher: Tyndale ISBN: 0-842-39117-1
Mona’s dream is finally coming true. She has purchased a Victorian house, sight unseen, on the shores of Lake Superior and plans to open The Footsteps of Heaven Bookstore and Coffee Shop.
But everything that can go wrong, does. The house is more run-down than Mona expects and she finds that her business partner, Liza, and she are unable to handle the repairs themselves and still open on schedule. So it is an answer to prayer when handyman Joe Michaels shows up to help with the repairs.
When disaster strikes, Mona turns to Joe for more than household repairs. As they reach out to each other, they also draw closer to God, and closer to finding the peace they are both searching for.
Happily Ever After is a delightful story. I love the Lake Superior shore even though I don’t get there very often and I found that Susan May Warren’s descriptions were very accurate. Susan May Warren is a very talented author and I can’t wait to see more books written by her. Happily Ever After is a must for your summer reading.
