When Amy Jenkins catches her fiancé kissing her cousin days before their wedding, she swears she will never trust a man again. After she packs her bags, she throws a dart at a U.S. map and it lands on Lexington, KY.

Amy never dreams her first night in Lexington will find her locked in the arms of a handsome stranger, hiding in a tiny closet during an armed robbery of a convenience store. "You can trust me," he whisper’s in her ear, but that’s something she knows she can never truly do.

Forever grateful to Matt Wynn for saving her life, Amy begs for a way to repay him. When he explains he needs a date to attend three weddings with him over the next few months, she very reluctantly agrees. At least it would ensure that she’d get to see him again, but attending a wedding is the last thing this jilted bride wants to do.

Homeless and jobless, Amy agrees to live in Matt’s ancestral family home and work as his Aunt Lila’s assistant while she recovers from surgery. Amy’s wounded spirit finds a refuge as she seeks God during her long walks in the rolling hills of the beautiful horse farm. Matt is never far away. The electricity they felt that first day evolves into a warm friendship. But friendship is all there can ever be because Amy refuses to allow her heart to be broken a second time.

Living in a family of matchmakers and being the only one of all his cousins to still be single, going without a date to three family weddings was the worse thing Matt Wynn could think of. When his quick thinking and fervent prayers save his life and the pretty stranger’s, she agrees to do anything to repay him. Going as his date to his cousin’s wedding would assure him of seeing Amy Jenkins again.

It felt so right to hold Amy in his arms. Now it seems he can’t let her go. Matt begins to wonder if is Amy is the one, the answer to his many prayers for a wife. When he doesn’t feel that spark he expects to feel for a future wife, Matt decides that God has placed Amy in his path so that he can help her learn to trust people again and find peace with her God.

When their friendship crosses the line to something more, both Matt and Amy back off. Can Amy ever learn to trust Matt’s love for her enough to walk down the aisle? Will Matt put aside his fear of commitment or lose his best friend and possibly the answer to his prayers?

A Groom Worth Waiting For  has a truly explosive beginning. This book is an enjoyable trip in a beautiful setting. Travel with Matt and Amy on their journey as they learn to trust God and each other. Crystal Stovall has done an excellent job in this book of showing that everything we face happens for a reason.
