Gerda's Lawman is a continuation of Lena Nelson Dooley’s Litchfield, Minnesota series. I truly enjoyed this book. Frank is a great character. At first he seems hardnosed and focused only on capturing the gang he’s after, but once he sets his eyes on Gerda, he focuses all his determination and charm to winning her over. Deep down, he’s a good man who just needs a good woman to smooth out his rough edges. Gerda is spunky and just as determined to not be swayed in her convictions, in spite of what her heart feels. I admire her fortitude in standing by her faith when the price was so high.
Readers are sure to feel as if they’re back in the nineteenth century as the scenes Ms. Dooley vividly paints come to life. They’ll be inspired with the sweet faith message as they watch Frank’s interest in God grow. Even your sense of adventure will be piqued with the outlaws and exciting events that happen. Gerda's Lawman is an inspiring story about family, friends, and waiting for the one true love God has for you. | |
