Title: From Italy With Love Authors: Gail Gaymer Martin, DiAnn Mills, Melanie Panagiotopoulos, and Lois Richer Publisher: Barbour Publishing, Inc. In "An Open Door" by Ms. Martin, reporter Steffi Rosetti is assigned a trip to Milan to cover the new spring fashions. When she is contacted by her paternal grandmother just before she leaves, she’s faced with a decision on whether to include a side trip into the agenda – to meet a grandmother she’s never known about. A rude man who shares a taxi with her to the hotel will also factor in. Will Steffi open her heart enough to get to know these new people? In "The Lure of Capri", Ms. Mills pens a delightful story about Terri Donatelli. Terri has wanted to travel to Capri ever since she was a child and learned her great-grandmother had fallen in love there. She’s looking forward to the month-long vacation to rethink her nowhere relationship with a fellow professor and maybe to fall in love with a full-blood Italian. But God has different plans. Will Terri trust God to direct her life? Ms. Panagiotopoulos wrote a wonderful story in "To Florence with Love." Samantha Day is a successful, highly sought-after movie star, but she is becoming increasingly dissatisfied. When her paternal grandfather unexpectedly contacts her, Samantha decides to come to terms with who she really is—Florence Celini. But will the new men in her life understand her dual persona? In "Roman Holiday" by Ms. Richer, Emily Cain was raised by her grandmother. Now her grandmother is dead and her fiancé has jilted her. Emily impulsively travels to Rome to meet her grandmother’s long time friend. But instead of the friendly encounter she expects, she learns that she has almost been promised in marriage to a moody man who seems totally repulsed by her presence. Will Emily discover plans for her unsettled future? From Italy With Love is a delightful book with four short stories in it. I easily read it in one sitting. My personal favorites were "The Lure of Capri" and "To Florence with Love", but all the stories had well-developed characters that the reader quickly comes to care about. I highly recommend From Italy With Love for a book full of Italian flavor and an entertaining read. Grab a slice of pizza or a cup of hot tea, and settle down with From Italy With Love today.
