Motivated by letters, four women travel to Italian cities and find love
"An Open Door" by Gail Gaymer Martin
Steffi Rosetti is ready to leave for Italy to cover the spring fashion
collection
for Mode magazine when she receives a startling letter from an Italian
grandmother
she never knew existed. Now she must face the fears of her childhood if
she is to
connect with Grandmother Rosetti. Unlikely helps comes in the form of
fellow
American, Paul DiAngelo, as he and Steffi work and travel together. Steffi
begins to
open her heart to Paul, but she can't help wondering if meeting him is a
coincidence
or God's providence. And will she find the courage to face her grandmother
and
discover why her father abandoned her?
"The Lure of Capri" by DiAnn Mills
Terri Donatelli has dreamed of visiting the isle of Capri ever since
finding her
grandmother's old love letter. Now that she's finally going, she can
barely get up
her nerve to tell Ryan Stevens, her "almost" fiancé. For three years she's
dated the
quiet English professor, but she wants more. Hoping to find a love in
Italy like her
grandmother, she travels to Capri. But when she discovers Ryan has
followed her,
Terri is livid. At first, she wonders if she's being stalked, but could
God have
planned than she could ever imagine?
"To Florence With Love" by Melanie Panagiotopoulos
Samantha Day is one of the most popular movie actresses in the world. When
she
receives a letter from an attorney in Italy addressed to her real name,
she is
stunned. Few people know Samantha Day is really Florence Celini. Somewhere
along her
journey to stardom, the sweet, trusting Florence became the aloof, cunning
woman she
portrays in psychological thriller movies. Which woman is she really? A
mysterious
letter in an old Bible, an estranged grandfather, and a handsome Italian
attorney
all play a part in helping Florence find the answer.
"Roman Holiday" by Lois Richer
After the death of the grandmother who raised her, Emily Cain travels to
Italy to
visit her grandmother's old friend, Cece. While Cece is open and friendly,
her
grandson, Nick Fellini, is cold and barely approachable. Emily falls in
love with
Italy, and follows Nick, a history professor, as he tours Rome with his
college
students and lectures on its famous landmarks. When Emily discovers the
plans Cece
made for her and Nick, she wonders if she should leave Italy. But she
loves Rome and
maybe even a cranky Italian. Is there any hope for her and Nick, a man who
made a
vow to God to never to marry?
From Italy With Love comes alive through the eyes of people who
have obviously
visited the beautiful country. The descriptions of the famous landmarks
and towns
are vivid, even to the point readers will practically hear and smell
Italy. Each
story centers around a letter that propels the heroines to different
cities in Italy
where all kinds of exciting adventures await. The four novellas have a
faith thread
that will challenge and encourage readers. Of course, romance is central
in each of
the heart-warming tales. I'd be hard-pressed to say which was my favorite.
The
heroes are handsome and charming, while the heroines, spunky and
determined. Whether
riding in a gondola or climbing Mt. Vesuvius or viewing the Seven Hills of
Rome,
From Italy With Love is sure to stir your heart and set you
dreaming.
