Title: The Foreigner Author: Aaron Thiel Publisher: Tsaba House Publishing ISBN: 0-9725486-1-0 Genre: Inspirational/Sci-Fi/Suspense
Yes! Dutch Bennett is back in the second of Aaron Thiel’s sci-fi suspense thrillers, The Foreigner. This time as an attorney, Bennett lands a leading role in a multi-million dollar wrongful death lawsuit against the U.S. government. Incredibly, the lawsuit concerns foreigners allegedly killed 40 years ago by an errant U.S. satellite.
But as in The Payload, the prequel, everything is not as it seems. Was one of the foreigners actually an undercover CIA agent? Were the deceased killed by a U.S. satellite or a foreign satellite or by some other means? Is the evidence from 4 decades ago even reliable or is the U.S. government and military involved in a massive cover-up?
Ironically, Bennett’s assistant attorney gets in dutch with the U.S. government, as did his client in his previous adventure. Also, information from a key character from that story had greatly helped vindicate Bennett. Now this character’s information threatens to blow the lawsuit apart if Bennett again chooses God’s way, the only way for him, the truth.
Aaron Thiel clearly demonstrates that truth is not subjective. There’s no such thing as my truth or your truth…only THE truth, the facts, physical and spiritual reality as they exist whether we choose to believe them or not. Belief, or the lack of belief, does not change the facts. But trying to discover the truth in Aaron Thiel’s novels will keep you spellbound.
Action-packed, plot-twisting surpises around every bend—I loved it! The way the author spins thrilling yarns that glorify God blesses my socks off. Bravo! Keep up the great work Mr. Thiel!
