Title: Confessions of a Non-Charismatic (Seeking a Spirit-filled life) Author: Ken Anderson Publisher: Baker Trittin Press ISBN: 0-972-92567-8 Genre: Inspirational/Nonfiction/Spiritual Growth
Ken Anderson is an excellent writer. He grabbed my attention on page one as he started talking about his early life and Christian experiences, and kept my attention through the book as I traveled with him through his film making career, speaking engagements where he filled in for Billy Graham, and traveled to foreign countries and shared the experiences God taught him in each instance.
Readers who are seeking God’s presence in their life in a very real way need to read this book. This book teaches those of us who are not charismatic that we can still experience a close encounter with the Holy Spirit and God. God wants to touch us today. He wants our love and devotion. He wants us to give us the desires of our heart so He can make our paths straight. But first, as Confessions of a Non-Charismatic reminds us, we must delight in Him.
Confessions of a Non-Charismatic is definitely a book for the keeper shelf, because it is a book that you will want to read over and over and over. I recommend it for church libraries and for personal libraries, no matter which denomination you are. There are questions in the back which will make it ideal for a small group study.
