Katherine King literally blows into town with a tornado. Bobby Delham saves her life when he pulls her into the bank and they hide under a desk. But when Bobby tries to introduce Katherine to his family, he runs into fierce opposition from his sixteen year old daughter, Jackie.
Jackie’s taken care of her family ever since her mama died, two years earlier. She’s leery of Katherine, who has a tract record of too many career changes and former boyfriends. Jackie doesn’t want her daddy to be just one of many. Also, he’ll get hurt when Katherine decides to leave town.
Katherine wins Jackie’s heart when she introduces Jackie to a hot member of a popular boy-band. Suddenly, Jackie is falling headlong into her own relationship.
As love whirls through both generations, the Delhams are faced with hope, elation, and loss. Jackie is overwhelmed by old secrets in her parents’ relationship. Could those past mistakes cost Jackie her own love? Will they destroy her daddy’s chance at happiness?
Capture The Wind For Me is a heartwarming story of love and loss. At first, I thought that Jackie might make a wrong decision, but even though the choices she made were difficult, I am convinced she did the right thing. Brandilyn Collins weaves words into a complex, but easily followed tapestry, showing that love may not be all roses and moonlight, but is well worth the effort it takes. I highly recommend this book.
