Do you know your identity?

Skary doesn’t. Skary, Indiana, that is.

Nobody in the town seems to know their purpose, including Wolfe ‘Boo’ Boone, the famous horror writer whose newfound faith put the breaks on his career. As Wolfe struggles to find his place in the town as a car salesman, his fiancée, Ainsley, suddenly develops a serious case of stars in her eyes with the help of Wolfe’s ex-editor.

As Skary wavers on the verge of bankruptcy, the mayor has his own crisis, two brides race to complete wedding plans, and strange people begin to lurk among the woods. Screams fill the night air, filling Skary with the very thing Wolfe is trying to put behind him … horror.

Throw in the delightful humor of Rene Gutteridge and you have one compelling read! Many times I found myself laughing out loud at the escapades of Skary’s residents. Rene weaves wonderfully fun characters through a charming plot with the underlining the theme of purpose.

I’d advice readers to read Boo, if they haven’t already done so, before picking up this sequel, which has left me eagerly awaiting the third installment, Boo Hiss.
